you're on. mind you i havn't played for ages. not that i'm making excuses mind. there's this place on the quays, next to what was the Harp bar... now the Q bar (where i wasn't allowed in t'other night..can't remember why) and when i was selling da tapes on da bridge as a younger man, if it were raining or what we'd be over there, playing airhocky, and i was class. i reckon it's not something you lose.

Funny how things can get lost along the way.... from warzone to pool, via air hockey...

I suppose this is how THiNGS got going. If there's enough people interested why not get together and meet up about it. Create a community group and take it from there. Of course there are obstacles BUT why not find out what they are rather than saying what they might be.

Insurance may be a problem. Premises may be a problem.
Finance may be a problem.
Alcohol licence (or lack of) may be a problem

Problems can be overcome.....

Me and some others tried to get stuff organised along these lines a few years back and were very very close to getting a premises and a FAS grat (of £30,000) along with other grants BUT we ran out of steam. The business world can hurt. If there was more people to share the workload...
