voxengo latency delay etc. (1 Viewer)

http://www.voxengo.com/product/latencydelay/

has anybody any experience using any plug ins that compensate for situations where latency mightnt be reported to the DAW?

this again is related to my tape deck. i cant quite get the latency compensation right.

any advice?

what's the DAW? many can do it automatically.
What way do you have it set up, is the tape deck set-up like an insert?

logic pro 8, soon to be 9.

at the minute i have it send up as an insert. im sending stereo AUX out and then returning on a stereo channel.

occasionally ill track straight through through the tape machine into logic.

you see, im just a bit confused as to how to set-up voxengo. apparently voxengo tells your daw that theres a latency issue and theres some settings in logic for plug in delays. i cant seem to work out how to set each one up though.

also, i have had some success using the i/o plug in in logic.

actually, i just did a google search and this thread is interesting. http://logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=242289&sid=70a6cfc8410f308970ac5f1f11379784

any more advice is great.
thanks.

thats actually the first video i was looking at. but it doesnt really help me with logic. hmmmm.

i think i might be okay now. gonna run some tests later and ill report back.

Abelton is rapid for this - sync can be a white whale - just mix down to tape then record back in to DAW chop it up manually
