I have a back up phone that i carry in my bag incase I run out of credit or froget my normal phone (which i did today)..

I tryed to make a phone call on the back up phone and it said I needed credit but i checked the balance and theres €6+ on it...The phone hasn't been topped up in months though...Do you need to top up on a regular basis as well as having credit to mkae calls?

Yeah they do, Text IOU to 50223 to get €2 or text SUPER to get €4

Yea, when you top up it deducts the euro off whatever credit you stick in it...

It's an "IOU" top-up of credit - i.e. they give you money that they'll take back the next time you top up.
