i've heard that veronica guerin, while very good at collecting facts, was not a good writer of english. indeed she had difficulty forming sentences that made sense. the word 'gobbledygook' has been bandied around.

I went to see it last week and thought it was ok-ish .
seemed to be accurate enough .
however !

the editing was really bad in parts I thought .

the music was mostly all that diddlyeye oirish traditional stuff which made me suspect it was made with the american market in mind . dreadful stuff .

almost half the cast of fair city was in it

there was a laughable bit where veronica checks out the drugs scene in some dublin flats and she was walking on a carpet of needles .
in the same scene most of the junkies had lovely d4 accents . nicht so realistic .
