Is that bad?
I dont know it doesn't affect me really I am never in the UK the only thing is maybe if I want to buy a book or something from there. I geuss it is good for the English if they are going abroad on holiday or that. The pound usually is very strong though so i'm not sure how it affects greater scheme of things?

Yeah, if you're an Irish exporter, this is fucking golden season
its very promising for Ireland in general

I've just become 30% cheaper to my employer, as have the other 100,000 or so who work for US multinationals.

The place will be overrun with septics in the summer.

Bad for anyone wanting to go to the US, Switzerland or England but there are loads of other places to be going to, so thats grand.

I had a friend living here. Irish guy working for a French company.
Paid in Euros and got all European and US holidays.

Went home for a woman.
When there's hundreds of thousands of US girls going around with their tongues hanging out for a husband.

Out of 160,000,000 US girls that doesn't seem like all that many.

Turkey- apparently their currency is doing even worse than the euro.

The good ones are all taken, believe me.

You gotta look for younger people, bound to be good ones out there.

Quick comparison of Paypal and CurrencyFair sending $300 to Ireland

Paypal $300 ($298.50 + $1.50 fee) = Your Ma receives 270.08 EUR

CurrencyFair $300 = 278.10 EUR - 3 EUR fee = Your Ma receives 275.10 EUR

5 euros better off

CurrencyFair will be an even better deal if you are sending larger amounts as their fee is fixed and Paypal's rated

Paypal $1,000 ($995 + $5 fee) = Your Ma receives 900.28 EUR

CurrencyFair $1,000 = 925.69 EUR - 3 EUR fee = Your Ma receives 922.69 EUR

22 euros better off (or Paypal's fee is a considerable multiple to that of Currencyfair)

PP often comes out best when weird international transaction fees get involved (or if you pay via bank rather than card) but not always. I've seen bank to bank transfer as both the cheapest and most expensive in different situations/banks.

Banks are the absolute worst

I sent money from AIB to here and got a lower dollar value than euro. The kind of thing that would put a serious dent in your mood.
Never again.
