I remember introducing a young thrash metaller friend to Sympathy for the devil. I'll never forget his disgust. /disbelief /shock at the lead guitar break. "is that the guitar?!" I still laugh when I hear it.

the stones run from beggars banquet through exile on main st is some of the best music ever imo. much better than their output in the sixties, while they were competing with the beatles mick taylor. i agree that sympathy for the devil is overrated though. i usually skip it

The insta kids are all talking about boycotting revolut for gaza because they are opening in isreal.
Revolut has been the property of the son of a russian oligarch since before russia drove headlong into bombing ukraine.
I agree with the boycott and still think people should do it but it also reveals the sliding scale of morals we all live on which isn't a popular thing to be honest about.
