For all the internerds,
I am an idiot when it comes to the computers!

1. I want to edit from a larger .avi /.mpg file. How to do?
2. How does one delete cached internet sites? i use google deskbar to search the computer and these things keep popping up from sites i searched yonks ago, but i can't trace them anywhere. What to do?

I really would like to know how to sort these, as simple as I'm sure they are, so much thanks to any who can help.

1. not sure what you mean by this.
2. to delete all internet related files, history etc. open a browser - tools - internet options (delete cookies, delet files, clear history etc.)
you can also click on the content tab - click on auto complete and clear forms and passwords that IE "remembers" (depending on what you have selected in this window.

I use a tool called CCleaner myself which gets rids of loads of temp files, IE files etc. that are left behind...it's pretty good.

Cheers, Littbarski

1. I mean, I have a 50 mb file and i want to take just 5 mbs out of it in the middle for a seperate file. How to do?
2. The thing is I do clear the cookies etc. via internet options/tools etc. but they are still there. maybe its just me.

Is CClear a free download?

if you just want to copy a section out of a .jpg or .bmp you can open it in paint, click on the select icon in the left hand menu (it's the square box with dotted lines), select the part you want, right click on your selection and copy it...then open a new paint session and paste it in...there is another handy piece of freeware called Zapgrab I use which allows you to grab + copy anything you can see on your PC into different programs. it's well worth downloading

CCleaner is also freeware..i use verison 1.25 myself which is an older one
