The smugness of the prices, the sense that Tom Waits music is somehow rarefied and worthy of such a wallet raping charge is sickening, and the way in which it isolates a huge section of his fanbase who no more could drum up €116 on a credit card just like that is just brutal. The audience will be filled with self-satisfied nob-jockeys too. I'd prefer go see Richie Kavanagh if he was playing the same night.

can i borrow €116 please?Yeah it is expensive, but on the plus side that is a deterrent for people who'd just like to have a look. I've waited a long time for this, was going to travel to amsterdam on his last tour, but tickets sold out in a fifth of a nano second. Considered buying one through a tout but with tickets, flights, accomodation and what not you we're looking at nearly €700 for a night away. So right now i'm more than willing to pay this, tom waits is one of the very few people out there that i'd be willing to pay this much for, it's possibly a once in a life time chance. I guess it just depends how much you are into him.

... and on how much money you actually have.I guess it just depends how much you are into him.

yeah true, but I think we all had the slight hunch they wouldn't be fifty euro. if i didn't have the money for a ticket for this i'd be begging, borrowing and pretty much doing what i need to get the money together.
