I've been North and I've been South
I've been East and West
I've been just a rolling stone
Yet there's one place on this earth
I've always liked the best
Just a little town I call my own

For Dublin can be heaven
With coffee at eleven
And a stroll in Stephen's Green
There's no need to hurry
There's no need to worry
You're a king and the lady's a queen
Grafton Street's a wonderland
There's magic in the air
There's diamonds in the lady's eyes
And gold-dust in her hair
And if you don't believe me
Come and meet me there
In Dublin on a sunny Summer morning

I've been here and I've been there
I've sought the rainbow's end
But no crock of gold I've found
Now I know that come what will
Whatever fate may send
Here my roots are deep in friendly ground

For Dublin can be heaven
With coffee at eleven
And a stroll in Stephen's green
There's no need to hurry
There's no need to worry
You're the king and the lady's a queen
Grafton Street's a wonderland
There's magic in the air
There's diamonds in the lady's eyes
And gold-dust in her hair
And if you don't believe me
Come and meet me there
In Dublin on a sunny Summer morning
And if you don't believe me
Come and meet me there
In Dublin on a sunny Summer morning

Brogans
The Long Hall
Walking through St Stephen's Green

yes. nice pint of guinness in these bars and the Duke and Peter's pub. most of this stuff would be ok though if the hawthorne in swords were left standing for christmas eve every year. I could deal.

I'd definitely miss my house, my jobs, my college, my friends, loved ones, cats and worldly possessions if they were exploded. Apart from that I'd miss the Molly Malones bubes and the bold boy joy riders round our way.

I think the only thing I'd miss is people, especially bumping into people I haven't seen for ages on the street or at gigs etc.
There's so little left in Dublin that is 'typically Dublin' these days that I've felt just at home in most other cities outside this country for years now.

Sometimes I hate everything about Dublin, which is how I know that I really love it.

I would miss THE FACT THAT I AM GOING TO SEE BRUCE FUCKING SPRINGSTEEN WHO IS PLAYING ACROSS THE ROAD FROM MY HOUSE AND MEANS THAT FOR TWO SWEET, SWEET DAYS, ME AND THE BOSS ARE ACTUAL FUCKING NEIGHBOURS AND WE WILL BE IN THE SAME ROOM TOMORROW NIGHT. OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Can't breathe.

Oh, and I'd miss people. I like the heads in Dublin lots. I genuinely like most people I meet, even when I think I might not. But I like my life here right now, more than I've probably liked it since I moved here, and so I'd miss everything, even the shit that pisses me off.
