The Brothers Movement only came into existence in 2007. It’s a measure of how highly regarded The Brothers Movement have become within music circles in such a short period of time that they were invited to open for The Jesus And Mary Chain in The Roundhouse, London in March 08. Further evidence of the potential of this band came when Black Rebel Motorcycle Club invited The Brothers Movement to open for their entire European tour in June 08. Over the last couple of years these hard working rock n’ rollers have built up an impressive roll call of opening slots with some of the finest bands on the planet with the likes of Primal Scream, Ian Brown, MC5, Chemical Brothers, Sonic Youth and Brian Jonestown Massacre among the bands with whom they have shared a stage.
The Brothers Movement spent the first months of 2008 recording their debut album in Philadelphia with the Cobbs (BRMC, Peasant, War on Drugs). With the album now mixed & mastered it has allowed The Brothers Movement time to road test their new material on such dates as the above mentioned Jesus And Mary Chain and BRMC gigs as well as the IMRO New Sounds Stage at Irelands largest annual Festival, Oxegen. These passionate and energetic live performances in turn opened the door for the band to appear at the Popkomm Festival, Berlin in October 08.
Keep your ear to the ground, The Brothers Movement are gathering momentum!

Danda – Guitar & Vocals
