i dont understand why the calibre (!) of people singing it, altogether, couldnt write a more dignified song!! give the concept to shane mcgowan and he would have written a great, albeit mumbly, song! even damien dempsey would have written a great, albeit rhyme scheme A A A A, song! even that brendan kilkenny fella would have written a great, albeit mullety, song!

its a real shame that anyone from outside of ireland who hears the song will think that ronnie drew is some kinda b-list celebrity type figure
the man IS a legend but i dont think the song is worthy of a dying fart!

its a horrifying mixture of that 'we are the world' song and the kind of song you'd hear a drunk midget hooker with booze in her shoes, shit in her hair and vomit in her wallet, singing at 4 in the morning after she just had sex with a violent cocker spaniel, wielding a half empty bottle of Coors lite as a weapon!
