So... if you haven't changed your mind and still want recommendations the response from my friend who is delighted with his new seratonin tattoo is that Wildcat are great for "out of a book" but if you want something custom and a consultation he recommends The Black Hat. I have no tattoos so no experience, but he has a large family of tattooed people and that's their view.

A woman I once worked told me she had gotten a tattoo (of a butterfly) on her arse when she was young. "Great value", says she, "cos it's twice the size now haw haw haw!"

A friend of mine got a particularly good tattoo of a bumble bee on her shoulder, and spent the next few years putting up with strangers warning her she's about to get stung or better yet stalking up behind her and attempting to brush it off.

Lee Brown and Joe Deegan are my favourites in Dublin. Helen Skulduggery in Belfast is also worth a look, really want to get something from her.

For some cool arty abstract stuff Fran Hartnett is phenomenal too. He's also on the list to get something.
