Superquinn sausages appreciation thread (1 Viewer)

Superquinn sausages are great but even better are sausages made by Herterich's pork butcher in Galway. These guys are

(a) German butchers
(b) Living in Ireland

How could they not make the perfect sausage?

More controversial thoughts:

Ketchup on sausages: wrong, so wrong. Mustard, okay, egg spillover okay, but ketchup noooooooo.

Do vegetarians have sausage envy? Respect the sausage! Tame the lettuce leaves!

Where's that then? There's too many butchers up here.

Personally think the german butcher's outside killarney (killorglin road) is the best butchers in the country, plus they have amazing sauces, and about ten minutes back towards town is that awesome fish place.

Actually, now that i think of it i might take a trip out there this weekend...

I bet Fogo heartily endorses Superquinn sausages, and all Superquinn products for that matter.

Its a shame that fresh sausages dont travel well.

So who here pricks their sausages?

Not me.

Superquinn sausages are pretty gorgeous.

But Tesco Finest and Marks & Spencer varieties are up there too.
There's a farmers market in Naas every Saturday that do an awesome range of Toulouse bangers.

Lindos! Although they taste like dry toast after eating them everyday for a few months...
The nicest ever veggie thing to come from superquinn are bean burgers.

As a durty foreigner who has been living in your country, I must say that Superquinn sausages are one of the things that make this country great. I can never leave now.

I did have some very nice sausages from a butcher in Sneem, nearly as good as SQ but not quite.

As for pricking sausages - that's a sin. It lets the fat out and makes them less succulent.

your cat is only fabillis. Is he a mog or a pedigree?

edit: oh this may be of interest to you what with you being a sassenach and all, but apparently they get their ready meals and pre prepared meat and fish yokes and whatnot from the same supplier as waitrose. I rarely buy stuff like that but if I do I like to know that it's POSH.

He's a mog and a Cavan man to boot! He is very pretty though. We think there might be some Russian Blue in him.

I could never afford Waitrose when I lived in England! I've had some of their Indian snacks though and they are divine.

there is for sure, or a bit of british blue shorthair either. He's gorgeous, we had a moggy like him at one point too.

Did your mog actually catch birds and mice and that? This fella seems content to chase moths, gnats and worms. He has a very squeaky miaow when he wants stuff. He's a bit gay.

Back on topic ladies please.
