Sunset Rubdown (2 Viewers)

what's the new album like? I can't understand Pitchfork's review

It's way more straightforward than their previous two. It's a ROCK album with big crashing chords and riffs and choruses. And it's very good.
Personally, I can only take a few songs in a row with Spencer singing. That's why Wolf Parade are ideal and why I find it hard to get through this categorically excellent album.

It's so good. I would agree with moods in that's it more accessible. I've listened to it so many times now.

This song has me singing full blast every time.
So good on the album.

And what do yiz think of that same song being on both the Swan Lake and Sunset Rubdown albums?
Strange, no?

You mean Paper Lace? I don't have Enemy Mine at work but I'll have to take a listen when I get home. They are slightly different versions, no? At any rate, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Any Spencer, even repeated, is good stuff.
