Starting a blog (1 Viewer)

was in the process of registering a blogspot one, but they insist on you giving them your phone number for some bullshit about it preventing spam??? so fuck them, no way google is getting my mobile, any other good sites for blogging?

I was messing around with word press as I want to set up a blog for some one at a later stage - I noticed I was getting spam (only a little) before any links were made to it. When a Blog goes live and has many links to it does it get spammed to death?

I was playing around with customising it too - basically I took a 'theme' that was close to what I wanted and swapped out the graphics etc . Is this the usual way people do it..

i get around 10 spam comments a week, they don't show up on the site and deleting them is as easy as clicking a button.

that's what i did anyway.

i used to have a blogger blog but find wordpress to be way better in every respect.

Askimet will take care of all yer wordpress spam. Way better blogging platform than blogspot in my opinion.

got a bit sidelined with another project but i'll start into it next month. and wordpress is really easy to use.
