Soooooo, immensely enjoyable, yes, though it definitely required a massive suspension of disbelief regarding the plot contrivances, such as:

", which just happens to be found 5 minutes later by

, but otherwise right royally enjoyable.

The *only* bit that made me cringe was

Mark Hammill's terrible, terrible acting in the last scene.

An otherwise great scene ruined by that

Diddles brought the young fella out to the toilet about an hour into it. There were about four lads sitting just outside the jacks waiting on the next screening to start when he comes out and shouts

Diddles said the lads were equally upset and enraged. He did it in all innocence.

I enjoyed it a lot. Enough thematic nods to the original without it being a total rehash. Had a much better sense of humour and sharper dialogue.
