Like Annakin saying "If you're not with me, you're against me", which is straight from the mouth of Bush, or at least his speech writers. Or what about Padme saying "all along the thing we think we've been fighting against is right here among us" or whatever, or "so this is how democracy ends - with applause". The robot guy with the four light sabers, Darth Skeletor or whatever, that was obviously Donald Rumsfeld, and the guy from Once Were Warriors was obviously Colin Powell.

noticed the script references alright, but obi-wan saying my quoted line (only a sith speaks in absolutes) was in respone to the "either with us or against us" line. i doubt lucas was aware of the irony of the response (that is: to say that only somebody does something is to speak in absolutes yoursmelf).

but at first i thought he meant ian was hayden's father, and took a moment to think about it and then went "ahhhh yes"
