I remember the derision in the record assistant's face when I bought this LP.
Truly epic.

I don't think it's ever come out.
I have the 7". It's about 3.15 and fades.
On CD I've got it on
Now That's What I Call Music Millennium Series: 1980 [uses album version which is about 20/22 seconds longer]
Now That's What I Call Music: Smash Hits [uses that longer alternate take 4:14]
Ant Box [uses a 4:05 take]
All Adam Ant comps seem to use the album version.
German and Dutch compilation series [like High Life / De Pre Historie / Super Power / Musikladen Eurotops] are quite fussy about releasing the 45 / single versions on CD so for tracks from 1984 onwards they're a good source. Likewise for the Dutch variants of the Now and Hits series but these petered out by 1989.
There's a 20th anniversary Definitely Maybe set due out this year. Hopefully they'll reduce the brickwalling. Some hope.
Would like to hear whatever (HA) demos are unearthed. There's a less cluttered Slide Away knocking around.
Possibly a reformation tomorrow ?????
I was always blur before Oasis but...tuuune
I love how completely out of it Liam is. Also back in the 90's when you could afford to bring an entire orchestra with you on tour.
thought about starting a thread called 'songs that make you cry', anyhow...
