if/when i ever move back to dublin, would any of you dudes be interested in a sociable cooking type of gathering? seeing as the sociable knitting thing seems to be successful.
i guess the idea would be that you arrange a time and place, decide what's gonna be prepared, people bring different ingredients. you meet, cook, offer advice, exchange recipies, etc. then sit down and chow it down over a bottle of wine from spar.

oui? non? just an idea :)

Yes, please.

cool. considering i may be a while, you guys should get summat started and i can join in at the earliest convenience.

you mean... have a dinner party?

Yep, that's what I was thinking too. I don't know about everyone else's but my kitchen's just too small for more than 2 people to move in.

But a dinner party group might not be a bad idea. A different person doing the hosting each week.

i didnt really mean it in a dinner party sense - just that people with interest in cooking could meet, cook up a load of grub and eat it. much in the same way the lovely ladies of thumped convene over a basket of wool and tea.

I think it's a magic idea but like Skiggles says, my kitchen deffo won't allow for more than 2 people to cook at once. Unless someone has a really big kitchen that they'd like to volunteer once in a while.

Otherwise, top notch brain action. I'd deffo be in.

yeah, why don't you come round to my gaff? i had the rest of the internet there last week for a fondue party.

how exactly would that work, kitchen hitler?

This has the makings of a really awesome reality show called "Despots and Pans", where you get a load of Kitchen Nazis and make them work as a team to cook a meal.

So far, it's me and Wormo. Dude, Wormo, I'll just tell you now before we end up butting bossy heads over how small to chop the peppers: I love ya, lady. REALLY. Who else will own up to being a Kitchen Nazi?

"DESPOTS AND PANS: And you thought your life would be over after Big Brother."

cool idea.
