VUUR / GRINDING HALT split lp 8€
Nearly a year after the first recordings this is finaly out. These are the first recordings from Vuur with their new singer. Less metalguitars this time but a more punksound. This will blow you to bits like Acme did. Grinding Halt has some Shikari and Last Mile members in them. Overall they're pretty heavy. In the slower parts like Dystopia, in the faster parts more HHIG.

ICOS / OVERMARS split '7 4€
ICOS from gothenborg, sweden are back with a new song of powerful, devestating and intense music filled with tuned-downed guitars, thundering drums and over the top vocals that molds together with more quiet, ambient parts. Both music and lyrics are delivered with talent, ambitiousness and a never-failing integrity. OVERMARS comes along with a perfect slab of music. it's a great, trance inducing section of music. the heavy vocals, the slow, pounding rhythm, the ambient touches, the way the bass creeps in has the old Venom tone. The guitar interplay with the electronics during the long, methodical building process is spot on. perfect for the music which has sort of a NEUROSIS/SOULS AT ZERO being dismantled feel. the music has a real elastic quality here with the slow drum count, the jangly guitars and the flopping bass string tone.

FUCKED UP - dangerous fumes '7 4€
Without getting into too many details, the song tackles one of society’s biggest taboos in that ‘fucked up’ kinda of way. Actually, it really doesn’t ‘tackle’ the subject at all but does definitely bring attention to it without taking a clear stand on the issue. "Dangerous Fumes" continues where their "Litany" 7" ep left off - killer hardcore punk.

Featuring ex and current members of The Smugglers, The New Town Animals and The Parallels, the power pop combo take their musical cues from bands like The Buzzcocks, The Undertones, the Boys and The Exploding Hearts.

CLOAK DAGGER - pinata '7 4€
The highly anticipated debut EP from Richmond, VA’s CLOAK/DAGGER. “PINATA” delivers up four sonic blasts of raw, no-frills punk rock, attacking you with a full on barrage of BLACK FLAG-esque guitar riffage combined with a driving rhythm and infectious choruses guaranteed to leave you wanting more. GRAVE022_100dpi_250.jpg

CLOAK DAGGER - kamikazes '7 4€
CLOAK/DAGGER tear through the distinctive guitar fuzz driven track "KAMIKAZES" off of their 2007 "WE ARE" full length (vinyl version out spring 2008 on GRAVE MISTAKE) on the A-side, then a blistering rendition of the MODERN LOVER'S cut "SHE CRACKED" on the flip. Still out of control, and you've still got a problem.

GRAVE026_100dpi_250.jpg

DIRECT CONTROL - s/t '7 4€
classic debut EP by Richmond's one and only DIRECT CONTROL! Originally released in Europe on KANGAROO RECORDS in 2004, this first vinyl release from the band blazes through six tracks of killer early 80's influenced hardcore. Taking queues from the meaner side of that era (bands like THE FIX, CIA, POISON IDEA, etc), this EP captures the attitude and essence of those classic bands almost perfectly with a combination of biting, sarcastic, and spiteful lyrics overtop a non-stop barrage of fast hardcore insanity. DIRECT CONTROL could probably take a lot of the credit (or blame) for the recent resurgence of no-bs, no-frills fast 80s influenced hardcore and this EP clearly shows why.

ASUNDER - works will come undone lp 14€
The Works Will Come Undone by this San Francisco doom powerhouse is comprised of members of WEAKLING, THE GAULT, DYSTOPIA and AMBER ASYLUM. Truly amazing and hauntingly beautiful and depressive. ESSENTIAL DOOM!!!
