I don't understand why people label themselves as striaght edge, surely it creates something of an us and them kind of deal. Perhaps it's becasue I do things that go against the edge philosphy but I don't get why not drinking and the rest becomes a defining characteristic of someones identity. Can't you just be someone that doesn't drink or do drugs or smoke or fuck around without saying that you're edge.

the whole 'i dont need drink' thing is a bit redundant... i don't need it either. i often have great nights out sober. i can socialise, i can pull, i can dance, i can choose casual sex, or not, etc. and i can do it sober.
