BOOKA SHADE
The Berlin based producers and live act Booka Shade have been at the forefront of contemporary dance music ever since their classic singles Body Language (with M.A.N.D.Y.) and Mandarine Girl, together with the label they co-run, Get Physical.
Now this electrohouse duo have just completed their third studio album, entitled "The Sun & The Neon Light" which is scheduled for release May 26th.

SANTOGOLD
Santi White has become a totemic figure for the current crop of genre-bending acts. With an almost blanket 'album of the week' status for her debut, this Philly based songwriter, singer and producer make her Irish debut at AAA.
Before she was Santogold, the 32-year-old was a music biz veteran. For a time she was an A&R for the 'urban' department of Epic Records, a pop songwriter for hire (Lily Allen, Ashlee Simpson), the leader of ska revival band Stiffed, and an MC for Spank Rock. Having also toured with M.I.A. and Bjork as well as worked with Diplo, Spank Rock and Mark Ronson – Santogold is certifiably 24 carat.

EVIL NINE
They're not evil and there's only two of them, but other than not living up to their randomly chosen yet aesthetically pleasing name Tom Beaufoy and Pat Pardy in no way disappoint. Tom and Pat first combined skills in 1998 and were quickly identified as a quality DJ/Producer duo by Adam Freeland who signed them to his Marine Parade label. Collaborations have included work with Aesop Rock (Definitive Jux) and 2008 will see Evil Nine releasing their full length follow up "You Can Be Special Too".

ALEX METRIC
With the release of his new e.p, In Your Machine, Alex Metric is deadly on a mission to destroy dancefloors and expectations. His second e.p. for the Marine Parade label (following 2007's acclaimed Whatshewants), Metric's latest effort caps a stellar moment for the renowned U.K. artist/producer/DJ. He was named "remixer of 2007" by XFM's Eddy Temple Morris, following in the heady footsteps of Jacques Le Cont, Phones, Jagz Kooner and Unkle "fucking heroes of mine, in fact," he says of the honor.

EL GUINCHO
"Spanish artist El Guincho (real name: Pablo Díaz-Reixa) makes music from Spanish chanting, thudding tribal rhythms, ghostly harmonies, and the bits and pieces of a thousand as-yet-unwritten pop songs. The impressive and probably unwittingly fashionable source material-- Afrobeat, dub, Tropicália, and early rock'n'roll-- and the irresistibility of these songs can only briefly obscure the fact that no one else is really making music quite like this." Pitchfork Review of Alegranza! 8.3

BOY 8-BIT
Boy 8-Bit aka David Morris made his first steps onto the dance scene when Dj Touche included his track 'The Colonel' in his Radio One essential mix in 2004.
He has also played guitar for the band the Black Ghosts - aka Simon 'We are your Friends' Lord from Simian and Theo Keating aka DJ Touche from the Wiseguys. Recent remixes including Chromeo, Midfield General, Lethal Bizzle and Mika.
The next couple of months will see new releases for the Boy on Diplo's 'Mad Decent' label.

The lucky, lucky competition winners have been notified via the medium of electronic message.

bit of a cockup with the mail queue so i had to go for 3 from the hat rather than first three responses.

not a good run of shows for pod.....what with cancelations and poor ticket sales for the soundtrack shows......ill be very surprised if anyone turns up after santogold cancelling...

although bloc party are djing along with the antics dj's.....so theres the 16-19 year olds sorted..... :/

I reckon Booka Shade will stull pull a decent crowd for this..
despite the new album being pretty dissapointing
