Recommend some good prog rock (2 Viewers)

gentle giant are a bit too silly to be listed here
I've now dealt with all my Gentle Giant issues, I'm fully on board.

There is a new remix or alternative mix or something of Refugees by Van der Graaf Generator from the forthcoming box set of remixes and remasters and it sounds great to my ears

I bought Fool's Mate [1971] by Peter Hamill for a fiver in Freebird recently. It's deadly. This track is probably not that representative of the album as a whole, but it's a blinder.

Also love this version of Gharbadzegi from probably my favourite Wyatt album, the totally underrated Old Rottenhat which has been getting a lot of airing in the kitchen lately. Think I picked up the cd for a quid in Japan...

I'm late to the party, but it's mind-bending to think that Steve (interesting ) Davis is now a prog rock/ avant-garde musician

Stood next to the pair of them outside some bar in Brighton they were djing at about 2018.

Davis wasn't smoking, but he was drinking a fashionable IPA. He mimed the actions though blowing smoke rings up his own hole. Cool.

Thank the Lord I was getting the train into London. The stink of hipster off the place. Well dressed software men sinking expensive pints in eager shirts, and not a woman in sight.

First and only fish & chips.

Davis is also one of the best pool players in the world.

Musician or DJ though?

One of the last gigs I went to was The Utopia Strong in Whelans, they were deadly, probably the best live bagpipes I've heard. Hasn't Steve Davis been a prog nerd since forever?

It was a great gig and the second time I saw that bagpipe player recently enough at the time (he’s also in Current 93).
