The second ReUp is on, and this time we've brought two bass heavyweight to shake Capel St down. There's going to be some sort of cheap booze (3 euro bottles) and we're going to push the night on for as long as we can.
10 euro in, or 8 with concession
BEN PEST
--------------
As a solo artist, Ben recently swaggered his way onto the scene with two excellent 12" releases on Bonus Round and Victim records and stellar appearances at the Uglyfunk and Plex club nights in London. He’s perhaps better known however as a member of the band PEST, a brilliantly original collective who epitomize the Ninja Tune label on which they have released: “a multi-talented bunch of varied stock musicians, who come together and produce a cultural crucible of music which happily defies any succinct pigeon-holes”. In addition, Ben forms one half of THE BLACK-E with the highly respected CRISTIAN VOGEL, who together impressed at year’s BLOC festival with their live performance of full-on electronic improvisation.

Undoubtedly a massively talented musician, Ben’s solo Irish live debut is eagerly awaited by us – quality club electronica packed full of wonky elasticity, quirky samples and weighty bass punch.
LOOPS HAUNT
--------------
Dundee’s Scott Douglas Gordan aka Loops Haunt is going to send the Melody Bar interstellar with empyrean glitched out bass and beeps. Fresh from playing a showcase at the acclaimed Baller$ Social Club in Glasgow, and the Wrong Music Megarave in Brighton, he’s ready to put turn the Funktion 1 into cosmic overload. Gettin airplay on Mary Anne Hobbes and with releases about to drop on Flask Records and Black Acre, don’t miss the chance to hear this Scot’s future rhythms.
