the reviewer is butt-hurt that a book about the slave trade doesn't say enough about white heroes

Nonsense, he or she just thought a little light relief might have been brought to the book if it explored the end of the slave trade. My only criticism of the article is that everyone knows that this particular version of slave trade came to an end so there's no need to put everyone's mind at rest about it which makes the reviewers complaint a bit pointless.

This is a vile anti-Economist hate campaign
