Question about SP555 CF card (1 Viewer)

My bandmate uses one of these, but he's having a bit of a 'mare trying to find a Compact Flash card that will actually work. Seems to be a common problem

Anyone know of one that will work for definite? Preferably somewhere in town

i dont want to be a dick, but roland gear can be heavy on being proprietary and asking drives questions, has he done the formatting ritual on page 45 of the manual?

Yeah, he's following the manual

Inserts the card, boots it back up and it just freezes.. doesn't allow him to format

actually, just spotted an update on the Roland site
supposed to fix the card compatibility issue

i'll get him to give that a go

i don't know why they don't ship it with a card

i use an SP404 myself and had to pick up a new one recently.
it shipped with it's own card which is pretty deadly because finding a 1Gb card is a pain in the dick
