"Poster Info Appears" option (1 Viewer)

In the "edit options" section I've got the "Poster Info Appears" setting set to "left", but when I view posts it shows the user info over the post instead of to the left of it (as if I had selected the "top" option instead of the "left" option).

Any way of fixing this?
