Hi, I'm trying to save an A3 poster as a pdf so that I can email it to a printer. What settings do I need to use so that the file stays under 10MB?

Should I even be using photoshop for this? The original file is a high quality jpg.

I've been doing a5 leaflets set to maximum and they come out at around 2mb. Just try maximum first and keep going down lower until you get under 10 mb and the quality is still decent.

Unitedprint.com take jpgs, the prices aren't too bad either.

i've a pdf thats 20 pages long and 9mb in file size.
i need it to be about 5mb or under.
would i be better off starting it again and compressing each picture in it or is there a easier way of compressing out the pdf from indesign?

Are all your picture placed at 100%. If you have a picture scaled down to say 65% then you don't need the other 35%. Resize them in PS and place them again. Than can make a huge difference.
