I shared the bag seat of a bus with three members of the Pogues on the way to Birmingham airport in 1987. Two of them were Spider Stacey and Jem Finer. Can't remember the third. Shane was further up the bus drinking a six-pack of Guinness. Later that night they appeared on the Late Late Show tribute to the Dubliners. Shane had obviously enjoyed the six-pack.
