i think what i personally like about it is that the water looks stagnant but because of the formation of the leaves it looks as if its all in motion.

Thanks lads. The pool was actually drained (does this mean I've cheated the "water" bit of the challenge?) and those are indeed leaves hanging around like autumn ne'er-do-wells.

Should be a print of it on sale in the GB Shaw next month if you really like it.
 
Ok so these photos aren't mine, but i thought some of you might be interested. My girlfriend is final year fine arts in galway, and she's doing a lot of stuff based on tears. She's collected shitloads of tears from people around ireland by sending them small vials and droppers which they use to catch their tears and send them back. She had an assessment yesterday and made an installation using about twelve hundred vials of diluted tears suspended from a sheet of metal with video projected through them. It was only amazin.
