I was listening to The Shangri Las a good bit last week. Mary only turned 75 in December nearly 60 years after she sang all those teen drama tunes - more drama in 2 or 3 minutes than Home and Away can manage in a half hour. Train From Kansas, Out in the Streets, Past, Present and Future were some of my favourite tunes. Many of them first heard by me through being covered.

There was a story going around in September 2001 the Mary Weiss got delayed going to work on September 11 and thus missed being at the Twin Towers.
RIP Mary.
