Anyone heard much of Preston School of Industry (Spiral Stairs' solo thing) first albums pretty good but i heard the second one is dodgy

Up there with Teenage Fanclubs Songs From Northern Britian as a fantastic summer album.

Sounds a bit like Lloyd Cole in places. Which I like.

I'm beginning to prefer Stephen Malkmuses solo stuff of late. Some of the jams on "Real Emotional Thrash" are just sublime. As a solo act he doesn't get the credit he deserves really.

Totally agree. Though he is kind of crap live so that doesn't help matters.

Got the live Pavement LP with the Brighten The Corners remaster. It's actually a really good gig. Nice addition to the Pavement catalogue. Limited edition too.
