I don't know about that. That's clearly a witch's hat I'm wearing in that picture (ask anyone, they'll tell you I'm a witch). You may think we're all about the smiles.....

ohhh tonight..hope you all enjoy it you bastards!!im thinkin i may just ask if i can take my dinner in a doggy bag and eat it as i watch partyline:)

anyways have fun!!

thanks to everyone for coming out to this..even though the night was cold and there were a few other good gigs on around town. we were overwhelmed at the turn out (and the dancing). .|..|
it's amazing how dj's in the hub always manage to clear the dancefloor. same thing happened at ladyfest. 'tis a pity they have to come in and throw their weight around but that's dublin venues for you.
thanks also to medea for putting on a brilliant show. photo's of crazy costumes, high kicks, dark glasses and general leg throwing to follow.

going to see them in belfast now too. can't wait!

yay! for this
partyline were lots of fun (especially the between song banter)
missed medea, but spider and the webs quite rocked (hope the drummer guy is ok - he didn't look so healthy towards the end)

and yes - boo for the d'n'b club after - funny dancers there for a while, but then it was just a bit sad.

Drum & bass club after - boo!

Medea - yay!
And look, it is possible to stomp on guitar pedals while wearing high heels.
So other axe-wielding ladies who love their shoes have no excuses now.

Best footwear of the night had to go to Tobi Vail, and it was cool to see her drumming.
Their "demo tape" CD has some lovely songs on it, including a cover of "Moving On Up".

Partyline make a great racket for such a stripped-down lineup (no bass, one guitar),
and they seemed to enjoy it too.

I was close enough to see the sweat sparkling on Allison's neck.
Might not be everyone's most cherished gig memory, but for this old
Bratmobile fan, it was a Punk Rock Dream Come True.

Hmm, guitar pedals being the operative word. Every time I stood on the distortion the pointy toe turned on the delay as well  and I got freaked out every time too before I realised what had happened. Will have to space my pedals in direct relation to the pointiness of my shoes in the future.

Thanks to the ladies for organising this by the way. We had a great time.

I had a simply wonderful time, so much so that it has inspired me to try and form yet another all/part gal RAWK band, I know I should post this in the 'musicians wanted' section but anyone who enjoyed this gig and can play the rock, please do pm me.

Toby Vail's drumming  .|..|

up medea too, I'll have yisser photos soon!

Thanks for a great gig
