I never had broadband internet until August 2008.
the first few years I was looking at you tube it took at about 15 minutes before you could watch a 3 minute video through a phone line. it cost a fortune for appalling service.

I live near a crossroads and they stopped installing about 500M on each side of us. We are a little dark island. I think my speed has gone up a little based on everyone else not fighting for the 3g/4g bandwidth though.

Unfortunately their website doesn't so can't upgrade/update. I've been on 120mb for 67 euro when I could be on 250mb or 60 or 500mb for 71.. pricks
