Hey,

Here are some kinda dodgy photos, best to come and see it for yourself. These are just some of the bigger rooms.

There has already been a suggestion of changing the yellow and blue to red and black for a kinda A-team room...

Although maybe it doesn't look it, this next one is really a decent size, one big open space with what looks like what was once a studio or something at the very back (can't see it in this photo, its behind the camera).

This is the biggest room on the second floor, there are windows on two sides of the room so its nice and bright... and brown and orange and msutard...

So if you were using this place what would you want??

I would firstly suggest not letting the graffiti monkeys run wild with spray paint and give the place a warzone feel. Maybe let them off in one room but keep the main reception area and kitchen area neutral so if in the future you have people who maybe interested in donating to the cause, not to have them run away with visions of crusty crap everywhere...just my two pence piece...Oh and lace curtains ( cheap as chips for a roll of it ) and not flower power blankets on the windows and no painting on the windows either. There, thats it.

those rooms look pretty big...good for gigs...space to make a sushi bar and ya can even stick a tent and paddle pool in there...i got a few ideas for this new space so will be over later to check it out.

is there anyting that you need?

painting started today.

Events coming up are:

Picnic cafe on sunday 1pm, bring your own food coz we have no kitchen yet (and possibly no chairs still). There will probably be some discussion about the rooms and what they could be used for, who wants to do what stuff, all that...
Also anyone wanting to be involved in the cafe collective we will be having a chat to see what we need to do.

Film night on Wednesday - a few people are trying to start a film group to put on different types of films from political to mad max, twin peaks, who knows. Maybe some nerdy film discussions or something, if you're interested come along and talk to Barra of revolt video.

Seomra spraoi general meeting thursday

Party friday!!!

Every day there has been people there cleaning and painting etc. from lunchtime til 7 or so if you feel like helping out. Paint is the most urgent thing needed, white mostly.
Also the rent in this place is a lot more so we need moneys! Standing order forms are on the leaflets and you can give 10euro a month or whatever, it all helps.

so the meeting's on thursday 5th, party friday 6th? i'll be around, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehooo! although that may be a bad thing on other people's calendars...
