i am partial to the joyrex eps on rephlex... i think they were done as afx. nice covers, too... nuthin like an auld bit of triple vinyl.

other than that surfing on sine waves is cool

and saw2. and rdj album. ahh, loads of stuff.

he'd improve if he did less druckqs.

ha! see what i did there!

no one has ever made that joke before.

for me
SAW1 LP, Polygon Window LP and Analogue Bubblebath 12"s are truly inspirational and are his best

SAW2 LP takes time but is soooooo good

Classics lp & On 12"s - superb

I Care and RDJ - both excellent with marginal filler

Come to Daddy & Windowlicker 12"s - not up to his high standards but streets ahead on other levels

Drukqs - a waste of vinyl. should have been a single LP not an unwieldy quadruple behemoth. Still the box looks nice hanging on my wall.

on reflection and listening now, "i care because you do" is superb. "Alberto Balsalm", "Ventolin", "Icct Hedral" and "Waxen Pith" are beautiful.

"on" is lovely. "Pancake Lizard" from the "Donkey Phubarb" EP is wonderful. When I saw him play live many years ago, he did that one- a highlight of his set- and ended with an extended "Boy/Girl Song", which- am i meantioned earlier- is heartbreakingly good.

For across-the-board quality, consistency and value for money, you can't go wrong with the Richard D. James 'Geek Maggot Bingo' EP.

Very tough to get your hands on these days, mind you.

Is that not Tobias Schmidt on Neue Heimat, which is a good record anyway.

That's uncanny... my absolute pecking order of the Twin right there.

Alberto Balsalm is one of my favourite pieces of music ever written*.

* i think I say this about everything I mention on Thumped. But I don't really talk about music here so when I do it's coz I'm moved to. So shut yer slutholes.
