You could get a JCM 800 bass half stack on adverts for 600 euro. Although I might buy that if my overdraft ever gets sorted.

I was really excited about this amp and all. I think I'll hold out and wait till another JCM 900 comes up or the JCM 800.


....at least i've gained valuable ebay experience.


Fuck this for now anyway. I'm gonna buy a Big Muff. I've wanted one for ages! That'll make the pain easier.

Other two both look decent enough, it'd be up to you whether you want 50 or 100 watts.

I've been playing on a cheapy cheap 20 watt (but powerful) Behringer amp for the last 3 years. I never really had the money to upgrade to something better but I'm after getting really impatient with my current amp. These days I find it almost impossible to get a good tone out of it and i'm playing regularly with a few bands.

The most I can spend is €400 and that's stretching it alot. So far, these are the only two i've been considering...

But basically I know nothing about amps and could do with all the advice in the world before blowing all my money on one.

Are the two above any good? Are they worth the price? What other amps should I be considering? What are your opinions?

Speaking of G.A.K, anyone used them before?Good/bad experiences?Going to buy an amp off them,but they seem to have no set warranty period (like thomann etc 3yr warranty).
In case something has to be returned,I dont want to be lumped with shipping,parts and labour for the sake of saving e100 on something at the start

My brother bought a mosnter of a Peavey bass amp off them years ago. He had no problems. And this amp weighs about 50kg.
I think it was a TNT115 or something...
