Well, it's not exactly the first time Escobar's story has been told.

There's no real novelty to it.

Well, personally speaking of course. It just didn't engage me enough that I want to know the details beyond- sell drugs, get powerful, battle police and other drug lords, get arrested, die.

Finished last week and really enjoyed it. Can add my voice to those praising the guy who plays Escobar (although apparently he's less than authentic coming, as he does, from Brazil a Portugese-speaking nation).

The director also made a little unknown indie film remake by the title "Robo.....Cop" I think it's called. You guys might have heard of it and/or perhaps seen it and instantly forgotten it.
