Do any of you know if there's any shops in Dublin that sell cheap phone handsets? Maybe around the €40/€50 mark?

In the Blanchardstown centre I was quoted €99 or €120 in the Vodaphone kiosk and similar prices in Meteor!! And that's just for a handset!

Surely there's somewhere that sells them cheaper than this? Bearing in mind , all I want is a phone, not something that has internet access, not a camera or a radio or something that can make the tea, just a phone for talking and texting!

it is gay though,the way prices are so high though. and I dont get all that "Hey, Loike, check out my Phoune. Its got ,loike, a camera in it and ,loike, the internet, and loike, etc etc"

I just want my phone to be able to call people (&iceversa). If I want a camera I'll get a proper one, not one that can oly take passport smudgeo 4bit bollix.

phone handsets are subsidized enormously by phone companies, so they tend to only sell you them cheap if they know they're going to subsequently extract vast sums of money from you in call charges.

You can usually get handsets from those kinds of people in Buy and Sell. Try and get one that was on the same network as your SIM card though, sometimes they're locked to a certain network. I think the listings are on the web at http://www.buyandsell.net
