Olive from Intersex Ireland spoke at the Trans + Intersex Pride march last Saturday. What she told us broke my heart.
Of all the speakers her suffering was something the crowd knew by far the least about. I felt ashamed. I knew about this but had never put it all together. This is a scandal which deserves a state apology.
In last 15+ years despite the huge rise in visibility of Trans and other LGBTQI+ folks, Intersex people and their rights are still swept under the carpet.
