2. Men would be notified that these angel accounts matched their profile / locations
3. Men would then pay to send messages to the fake accounts
4. Profit
It's fucking genius really.
Because there were thousands of actual people on there, sometimes for possibly good, possibly understandable, but definitely none of our business, reasons. The impact on them is one story. The scumbags angle is another story. The "pay us to delete your info (and then we won't) scam they were apparently running is another story. And the alleged mass fraud they were perpetrating by faking user accounts is another.
