Minor Pleasures (18 Viewers)

Tooth picks are great. Over the last while I've used tooth picks:
to clean out the headphone socket on my phone.
as a replacement hanger for our calendar.
to remove a wrongly inserted SD card holder from my laptop.

As far as I can recall I've never actually used 1 for picking my teeth.

So a few years ago I tried putting a strap lock on my guitar but I made a total balls of it. Basically, I couldn't get the screw back in because the hole had gotten too big. I looked at a video on youtube video on fixing screw holes in wood. Turns out you can fix this with some wood glue and small pieces of wood, in my case TOOTH PICKS.

I've been meaning to fix this for years. In the time it's taken me to get around to this I've managed get married and have 2 kids.

Good stuff.

You can generally make any stripped screwhole in wood good again with small pieces of wood. The old wooden matchsticks were great for that. Ram a few in and you're good to go.

Had the car in the garage again. A different mechanic this time

He didn't have an awful lot to do but he's had it for two days so I was fearing a huge bill

it's only 40 quid

I can't quite believe it

I've just found the kid something for Christmas that I know she will freakin love.
I've got a warm fuzzy feeling inside, that might be the tea I just drank though.
