Having great fun altogether with my little DIY van audio hobby.

Pulled the speakers out of an old enormous Mercedes today which I'm building into back of the van/off grid boom box.
€2.50 from "The Chicken" Byrne.
A lovely sunny afternoon in the scrapyard.

Have me eye on half a sheet of plywood thats holding up one side of a skip up the town..get that later when the sun goes down

To go along with the hi fi speakers I have hooked up already. Its already loud enough but wheres the fun in that.

I'm not into hop hop but I'm thinking of building a sub for the craic

I wouldn't be the champion of justice that I am if I didn't lobby against this course of action
I'm a champion of banging sounds. ..and if that means hoking the materials for a speaker box out of a skip.... well by any means necessary.

This place will be a cloud of glue and sawdust tomorrow afternoon

Trying to figure out the optimum enclosure volume for two 6.5" and two 5" two way drivers in one box is currently whats exercising my noggin..out of half a sheet of ply..to boot

ANd should they be infinite baffle or dare I attempt a ported design for more welly?

I could teach this stuff I reckon!Well..maybe do a blog about it

I was known for my skip-building skills back in the day

I could basically double, if not triple the capacity of any given skip
Ahh sure back in the Tiger we were all at it!

I could fill a skip with broken concrete in half a day

But ,I was always a skip hoker..as was my father before me..and his father before him...can't speak for the great grandfather..don't think anyone knew who he was

One mans rubbish yadda yadda
