a colleague is leaving this week so we all went for a pub lunch. my "hand cut skin on" chips looked and tasted suspiciously like bog standard frozen catering chips.

This is not a minor complaint.
People who falsely advertise handcut chips should be taken outside and shot.

Finally decided what dvd I wanted to watch. Tea and biscuits ready. Only to find the fucking player won't recognise the dvd. The cheap one I had from Lidl played all my DVDs but this thing won't.

Isn't there usually some method to unlock the regions to be found be googling the model? I seem to recall doing this once. I had to press some bizarre combination of buttons on the remote and then voilà! It worked

I have never seen an episode of Parks And Recs or Arrested Development I think or that other one Community is it?

I didn't like the finale that much, but I thought the final season overall was a real return to form. The first episode of last week's double header was terrific.
