I've a Marshall DSL 2000 head. Since Tuesday everytime I plug my guitar into the input of the head it blows the mains fuse in the amp.

Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

Cheers,

Yeah tried two different kettle leads.

Cheers though.

It does be grand until I plug in my guitar and it blows within a few seconds.

Yup, sounds like a shaky power tube. Same used to happen with an old Peavey head of mine. Replaced the tubes, no more bother!

Cheers,

I brought it to a gig we were doing on Friday and both soundmen there seem to think that it is probably the pre amp tubes which are dodgy as the power tubes seem to be lighting up fine.

Reckon this could be the case?
