the best deals i've seen for getting a ds are in hmv. ds +game for 174 or something like that. mario kart is out now, you can get it with a ds as a deal.
Animal crossing is a 'life sim', closest thing would be the sims games, but AC has a lot more charm too it, it was a big hit on the gamecube and on ds you will be able to interact and visit other people's towns wirelesslesslessy

Castlevania looks the shit! Think I'll grab that one. Is Mario 64 DS worth picking up? I know it's not 2d or anything, but I'm curious to know if it's worth it after all these years. I never had the N64 original.

As for those crazy warioware games - I got the one that came out on the cube, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

mario 64 is pretty rad..i bought it with my ds back when it came out and i still play it..granted ive been stuck on the same part for like 5 months but its still cool...plus it looks amazing..and is really great for passing long hours of a commute!!
