Yea, stress can be a trigger. I found that out the hard way. My understanding is that the meds (in my case it's an infusion) keep the MS under control while good diet, avoiding stress and physio are all recommended to help deal with daily symptoms, well, not quite symptoms, but effects. Can I ask you, do the specialists say that pills or avoiding stress or doing exercise or diet or some combo of both can help this?
Or does MS have a mind of its own so to speak?
Vision issues mainly, a tough of drop leg, some coordination/balance, energy. Shit like that.what sort of issues do you have to deal with?
Bleedin' deadly newsA year after diagnosis I was told today that my MS hasn't progressed and is stable.
Interestingly it was only yesterday that my consultant let me in on how bad my initial scans were. He said they were fairly bad alright. Glad I didn't know that then. Getting the diagnosis was bad enough news.A year after diagnosis I was told today that my MS hasn't progressed and is stable.
This is no longer true. Bye pastries :-(Apparently my cholesterol levels are great! I'm going out for chips and crisps and pastries*
*not really, salad and salmon for tea this evening
I'm afraid to even checkThis is no longer true. Bye pastries :-(
Mine is too high but didn't warrant going on statins "yet", the last time I had it checkedThis is no longer true. Bye pastries :-(
I'd say you probably have minus levels of cholesterol with your push-ups and 5am sea swimmingI'm afraid to even check
same, just not todayThe doctor just told me to manage it by changing my diet, so I'll at least try that. I was planning to do it anyway, some day soon.
NiceAt the moment I am able to get up at 6:30-7 am and start kicking arse cooking and cleaning without worrying about waking anyone else up.
I don't go to sleep at a regular time but usually I only sleep 6 or 6 1/2 hours. that is not planned that's just how long I sleep for.Nice
How do you work that with your bedtime?
Great that you are getting up early and being productiveI don't go to sleep at a regular time but usually I only sleep 6 or 6 1/2 hours. that is not planned that's just how long I sleep for.
in recent days I have gone to sleep at times ranging from 10 pm to 2 am and after 5:30 am once, which is highly unusual.
have gotten up between 6:15 and 8:15 this week.
EDIT:
I often go to bed from before it gets dark and listen to records and look at internet and sometimes even read(!) until I conk out - whatever time that is.
First time I got mine measured (about 10 years ago) I had total cholesterol of 7.5 mmol/L, which is high as fuck. Cut down a lot on animal fats and started on plant sterols and it went down to 5.7. Has crept back up since though - was 7.2 last summer, but I was tested just after arriving home from a month away (so 4 weeks of eating almost entirely in restaurants). Was due to get tested again yesterday, but postponed it cos again I was just back from hols (only a few days this time, but still)Mine is too high but didn't warrant going on statins "yet", the last time I had it checked
I've started taking plant sterols. I'll find out if I'm pissing against the wind the next time I get it checked.
