MacBrothers HELP!!!! (1 Viewer)

Hey MacBrothers,

my powerbook just died yesterday (fuckin prick!)
most of the data was backupped, but there are few recent design and music projects stuck there and i need to get them out.
the HD seems to be untouched, so all i need now is to have a chance to connect my powerbook to some other mac (via ethernet card ) and get these files plus my adress book off my HD.
is there any chance that one of You guys would help with that???

its really improtant to me, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weird, my brother's powerbook died the other day too. Did you get some beeps before it booted? What OS were you using?

hey guys thanks for the answers

the powerbook still powers up, but there's nothing on the screen. i'd reckon that my display got finally fucked up (i had some problems with it before) while the rest works fine. but i'd rather consider my powerbook dead instead of even tryin to find out how much would it cost to repair a damaged display (it's an old G3!).

anyway, i reckon it will be possible to use ethernet then, at least i hope.

Anthony, i had no beeps or stuff before it died. i was using it, shut it down, went to work and when i came back it wasnt working. cause of death: i suppose natural (or simply old age ) About the OS it was 9.1

but its funny, one of my friends powerbook just died recently too! it must be the weather!!!!!

if'n it has an external monitor port on the back then you'd be able to get display again by hooking it up to an old mac monitor. which i'd be glad to help you with. no old powerbooks floating around in here though so cannae help with a hard drive swap.
