i made the mistake of only watching the last 6 or so episodes of the first series and thinking that it was a really fast paced show that mad shit happened in every episode. wrong. even mr ekos backstory was kinda gay...thugged out afrikans?

Dunno about that. Yeha torturing the kidnapped OTHER was fun and all but cmon, that fucking treefrog filler subplot was utterly dismal and pointless.

Really liked the Echo one actually. WOuldn't consider it to be "gay". But if he turned out to be gay it would be pretty funny.

Loch is turning pretty shit these days. BRING BACK DESMOND.

Oh and when the counter turned red and sinister I fucking punched the air and shouted "YES" but fuck them for not letting things get fucked up.

SO yeah they need to do something amazing really soon.

I wasn't pointing it out. Pointing it out would be like saying

"Hey dudes, I don't know if you've thought of this but I bet those numbers turn out to have some sort of deeper meaning and shit. You know, like, later on down the road."

I was saying that Desmond was fairly recognisable, so the subtle-as-a-pneumatic-drill "BRATTTTHHHHHAAAAGGGGH" memory-jolt device was pretty redundant.

Also, as everyone else has been saying, they seem to be using a lot of these devices in the second series:

INT. HATCH. DAY
Jack picks up spoon. Examines.

Cut to 10 minute flash back of spoons significance in previous episodes, intercut with all of Jack's previous spoon-based life experiences.

Maybe they're trying to cover the amnesiac demographic. Or the "just because I didn't really get what you were saying doesn't mean I can't get militant" demographic.

You can't really blame them. Their primary market is a country who's movie critics lately considered "Syriana" "Too convoluted".
Obviously, people who have a reasonably functioning memory, are mildly curious and have at least one working eyeball are not the problem. (did I just describe Pirates? Hmmm) it's all those other corpse-eyed meatpuppets who gaze at their 42" plasma TVs, their free hand scrabbling in the greasy, stygian depths of a bucket of chicken, the rapid jump-cuts on-screen barely exciting their aspartame-crippled synapses.

Thought the army dude in the truck with the beard was ol Zeke cause of the beard but then I thought the eyes were a bit different.
