Large mound:

Large Mound started in 1999 as a vehicle for Anthony Mackey's 4-track songwriting experiments. Soon after this Mackey recruited a crew of similarly rock-obsessed local musicians to play live, starting with a gig at an AC/DC tribute night in the Funnel Bar. Since then there has been a revolting cast of members and the Mound now consist of Anthony Mackey (guitar/vocals), The Boy Mark Jordan (guitar/vocals - ex Motherfudge, Mule), James Lillis (drums - ex Pet Lamb) and Hugh McCabe (bass - ex Venus Envy, Crossbreed). The band's music is unashamedly informed by classic rock influences (AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy), mixing smart songwriting (They Might Be Gants, Misfits) with metal riffs (Megadeth, King's X) and the lo-fi eclecticism of US underground bands (Sebadoh, Drive Like Jehu).
A series of independently released singles culminated in 2002's acclaimed "Raised on Rock" LP on Julius Geezer records. The band have been featured on RTE's No Disco programme, been played on John Peel's radio show, and have even supported Napalm Death. These blatant attempts at self-promotion have not resulted in any serious penetration of the mainstream however and indeed as The Slate put it - "they have succesfully avoided any kind of serious media coverage by playing infrequenty in toilet-style venues around the city and banging out extremely independent, but absolutely top-class releases" (The Slate).
Their second album in 2004 is a much more ambitious release. The production and the playing was knocked up a notch and Go Forth And Amplify has gone down very well.
After an Irish tour in support of Go Forth And Amplify the band took most of 2005 off with the exception of a few shows in Canada and opening for Mudhoney in Dublin.
2006 sees Large Mound back in action with the usual band business of recording, giging and begging.

(We need a new biography)

Raclet:

Started in 2004, they have played many gigs across Denmark in colleges
and in small music venues. They have recorded two cds 'Where's my
Life?' and 'Broken Days' and are currently working on new material.

Shlow:

Shlow is Adam from Raclet and Paul from Sylvan and a drum machine. Think Sebadoh meets Shellac meets Smoke and Smoke. There will hopefully be some Shlow CDs to give out at the gig.

other band to be confirmed
